Hello. I work for Swap-bot and I noticed that your sign-up date and mail date seem to be mixed up. The Sign-up date deadline must come before the mail deadline. It is easy for the coordinator to adjust those dates. Thanks!

I changed the send date. use the 'contact us' link above if you have any questions.

Hello :). I showed this swap to my Mom the night before last, and she had never seen a stitch marker like the one above! She thought it was beautiful.

Christmas came to mind -- but I have no idea where to find directions or a pattern to make one of these. My only beading friend is near Chicago, at least ten hours from here, but I can get ahold of her if I have problems.

Mom crochets as her main craft/hobby.

I would appreciate any guidance any of you can give me.

Thanks Theresa

Hi. I've sold stitch markers on ebay and look forward to seeing what others are making. I'm based in the UK. Alex.

user2627 08/10/2006 #

Hi. This looks like a fun and quick swap! I'm in!

user2301 08/11/2006 #

I'd LOVE to end up with a foreign swap pal (I'm in the US). Can't wait to see who I end up with and have fun making markers!

michellelliott 08/13/2006 #

Hi tramseyer, The stitch marker above is made the same way you would make an earring to hang from an earring wire. The only 2 differences are that you don't hang it from a wire and the top loop needs to be big enough to slide easily onto a size 11 needle. You can make the loop yourself with wire or you can buy large jumprings and add beads to it.

user2637 08/21/2006 #

I like making mine with rubber 'O' rings. They have some stretch, so it's easier to get your needles into them. =)

michellelliott 08/24/2006 #

Desiree, what method do you use to add things to the o ring?

user2637 08/24/2006 #

I use a jump ring and pliers. I'll try adding a pic, or you can see it on my blog (click pix to make them large). http://obstiknitvegan.blogspot.com

=)

Duh... sometimes I don't use jumprings, b/c I use little eye-screws, like with the markers I made for this swap. Silly me. Also, one can get those metal things that look like straight pins, but aren't sharp.. I don't know the name. They are used in jewelry making. I take those and load them up with beads and then bend my own loop on the end.

I got the cutest knit/purl stitchmarkers from Alex, all the way from London! Thanks!!

michellelliott 08/26/2006 #

Hi Desiree, I like your markers a lot. The srabble tiles are a great idea.

user2627 08/29/2006 #

I got five pretty stitch markers, bubble bath, and post card from Sue Worcester! Thanks so much!

user2661 08/30/2006 #

How long should I leave it before giving someone a bad rating? I haven't heard from them at all and I can't see which one they are in the sign up list. They are down as Tina Martinez and it looks like she might have withdrawn :( is my first swap!

user2610 08/30/2006 #

Thanks Michellelliott. I received your stitch markers today. They're really pretty and I especially love the purple memory wire. Thanks again!!

KarlaKC 08/30/2006 #

Michelle, I just mailed your stitchmarkers! I am so sorry for being late, but they are now on their way. Enjoy!

user2637 09/ 6/2006 #

I just got back from vacation, and my markers were waiting for me. I love them! They are little veggies. I'll post a pic soon (tomorrow or the next day). Can others post pix too?

Michelle - Thx for the comment about the scrabble markers. It wasn't originally my idea, but I do love making them. =)

Hope Michelle has received the stitchmarkers....

I just uploaded a picture of the beautiful stitchmarkers Erin sent to me! Thank you, Erin!

:(

I didn't get any markers. I'm not sure who my partner was, but I am very disappointed. I hope that everything is okay with you, whoever you are, but please try and let me know what happened.

Ann L did contact me and there was a very good reason for her delay. Thanks Ann, the markers were very cute.

I was hanging out with a few friends online, and one of them mentioned they found a cool site to spend time on. Out of curiosity, I searched it up and found spinmama. I didn’t expect much at first, but it turned out really enjoyable. The site gives daily bonuses, and the offers change pretty often, so it doesn’t get boring. It works smoothly on both my laptop and phone. What I really liked is how natural it feels — nothing complicated, just pure casual fun when you’ve got free time.
