Layered Decoupage Technique

For this swap, you are going to make your partner a layered decoupage project. You can use store bought decoupage sheets like this tutorial CLICK HERE, you can stamp images, print images or use images from ephemera like I did in the above picture where I used stabilized wrapping paper and fussy cut the different layers. You must have at least three layers in your project and highlight different aspects of the image with each layer. You can elevate the layers using foam tape or use cereal box/packaging to elevate the layers without so much bulk as foam tape for easier mailing. It is sender’s choice on what to make such as an ATC, card, MemoryDex, journal card, etc. The theme, colors used and embellishments are also sender’s choice. I used 3 copies of the same image with the first copy for a base layer, then fussy cut middle layer of just the bear, snowman hat and broom head and then fussy cut upper layer of just the arm, leg and muzzle.
